Week 1 Devlog: Design Producer
1. In your area, what were your team's goals for the past week?
My teams goals for the past week were to get feedback from analog playtests and to make the mechanics we would be incorporating in the final game concrete.
2. In your area, which of these goals have been accomplished by the team?
We've accomplished the goal of figuring out the final mechanics of the game, such as going with a unique life system in the form of a flower, as well as figuring out what power up we should include in the final game.
3. In your area, what are the team's goals for next week?
My team's goals for next week is to finally start incorporating the ideas into Unity and seeing how capable we are currently of implementing these ideas.
4. As an individual, what have you accomplished in the past week?
I've playtested with my team and have created further design ideas for our game, such as the bug spray powerup. I also created the slides for our final game design concept presentation.
5. As an individual, what will you accomplish by next week to stay on time?
Next week, I'll be starting my work Unity, refamiliarizing myself with the engine and its 2D functions. I will also begin my sprites on the main character, John the Anteater.
6. As an individual, what will you need to learn to accomplish these goals?
I will need to learn how to implement 2D mechanics into Unity such as sprites.
