- our goals were to figure out the necessary tools and refresh on unity to start bringing our game to life, also create a repository for the game mechanics.
- We accomplished both goals.
- Set up a working digital prototype with core mechanics like movement.
- I have refreshed my unity knowledge and lined up the necessary tools to execute my role in the project.
- Go beyond the movement mechanics and start learning on how to implement other mechanics.
- I dont think i need to learn anything specifically, just refresh on the tools ive already learned and maybe explore a couple of new options.
PlayTest Report
- We play tested an analog version of our game, having physical representations of the elements that will be included in the digital version.
- That our game was ready to come to life.
- fellow classmates who are not in the targeted age range helped us with playtesting.
- They grasped the concept of the game as soon as we explained it but started to point things out when they started playing.
- What areas of the game can be modified to make it more interesting and what should we do with an element that had not been assigned to anything.
- They suggested getting rid of the cliche life system, to add power ups and to take into consideration the possibility of multiple enemy attacks and not being prepared for them.
- We will implement everything suggested and i learned that no matter how good you think your game is, theres always something that can be better.
